James HalladayWith more than 40 years of professional experience, James R. Halladay has excelled as a senior fellow of the Lord Corporation since 2013, having previously been recognized as a fellow since 2007. Prior to obtaining these roles, he worked for the Lord Corporation as a staff engineer and senior staff engineer in the Mechanical Products Division from 1984 to 2007, and as a manager of material and process engineering with the Seal Division from 1981 to 1983. Earlier in his career, Mr. Halladay served as a corporate rubber chemist with the Masco Corporation from 1979 to 1981 and a rubber chemist at the Parker Seal Company from 1976 to 1979.

Mr. Halladay began his career as a student at the University of Kentucky, earning a Bachelor of Science in physics in 1976. A respected leader in his industry, he has authored myriad articles to professional journals, as well as chapters to books. Holding 18 U.S. patents, Mr. Halladay is a member of the Rubber Division of the American Chemical Society.

Furthermore, Mr. Halladay is renowned for his work in oil resistant elastomeric coatings, organic rubber compositions and high temperature elastomers. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he has obtained certification as a seventh degree black belt in Shaolin-Do Kung-Fu. Moreover, Mr. Halladay has played French horn with the Northwest Pennsylvania Concert Band since 1990.

Throughout his career, Mr. Halladay has received numerous honors and accolades for his achievements and accomplishments. He has accepted awards from various professional organizations and institutions, and he has been celebrated for his contributions. Notably, Mr. Halladay has been featured in numerous publications, including multiple editions of Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in Science and Engineering.
